I mentioned in my first post that the thought of returning to school is a little overwhelming.
I fear being behind all of the 18-year-olds straight from high school with school on their mind. I can’t imagine sitting in a room of children trying to keep on the same page.
I took my entrance exam to Ivy Tech Community College and felt better. I scored quite well, high in the percentiles. But, being out of the routine of studying, reading and writing papers is still daunting. Hopefully, all my fears will go away after I start.
What are some of your tips to cope?

This January, I’ll be a college freshman, at the age of 27 years old. I plan to chronicle my return to school in this blog. From the struggles with the financial aid office to the all nighters spent cramming for an exam.
Returning to school after a few years is scary. I worry about keeping up in subjects I haven’t thought about in years.
I’ve registered for classes and will be going two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. I live in a small town about a half hour away from my campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana, so didn’t want to face the drive everyday.
I hope to connect with others returning to school so we can share the highs and lows.
